Summary of Canon EOS 1100D 18-55mm IS + 55-250mm IS Twin Lens Kit
Fierce competition is expected to start again with the launch of the Canon EOS 1100D digital SLR camera. The battle for market share of entry-level DSLR cameras will continue with a new generation of DSLRs. Not so long ago on, Canon and Nikon were king in the entry-level DSLR market, but competition has awakened. Competition is to be expected, but with the new 1100D Canon seems to believe they will have everything under control. The Canon 1100D builds on the success of it former generations. The result is a powerful DSLR combination with a low price tag.
12-megapixel resolution
Step up to DSLR image quality with a 12-megapixel APS-C-sized sensor. A 14-bit DIGIC 4 image processor provides up to 3.2fps continuous shooting and images that are packed with detail and tonal range.
Intuitive, on-screen feature guide
The EOS 1100Ds Feature Guide provides descriptions of many of the cameras functions, as well as advice on how to use them in your own photography.
Easy to use Scene modes and Basic+
Theme-based Scene modes automatically pick the most suitable exposure, focus and drive-mode settings for the subject being photographed, while Creative Auto mode portrays adjustable functions in an easy to understand way. With Canons Basic plus technology, the look and feel of these basic auto modes can be fine-tuned according to ambience and lighting type.
HD EOS Movie mode
Shoot stunning HD video at 25 or 30fps, with automatic exposure control leaving you free to concentrate on the action. Footage can be edited on your PC or Mac, or played directly on an HD TV via the camera’s HDMI connection.
ISO 100-6400 sensitivity
Low-light shooting without flash is possible thanks to the EOS 1100D’s ISO 100-6400 sensitivity range. The camera’s 14-bit DIGIC 4 processor helps to control noise and maintain image quality.
Wide-area 9-point AF system
The EOS 1100D focuses quickly and accurately on static and moving subjects, thanks to nine AF points, spread out across the frame. A central cross-type AF point is sensitive to both horizontal and vertical lines.
63-zone iFCL exposure metering
Advanced iFCL exposure metering dissects a scene into 63-zones before analyzing it to find the perfect combination of shutter speed, aperture and ISO.
6.8cm (2.7”), 230,000-dot LCD screen
Compose and review images on a large 230,000-dot LCD screen, which also provides access to the camera’s menu system and Quick Control Screen.
Use with all EF and EF-S lenses
The EOS 1100D is supported by the complete range of EOS lenses and accessories: flashguns, remote releases and a system of more than 60 lenses trusted by professional photographers the world over.

Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS Lens
Features
Equipped with image stabilization, this telephoto zoom lens is designed specifically for digital SLR cameras that support the EF-S series. Thanks to an optical system that maximizes the potential of a small image circle, it boasts a high zoom ratio while maintaining a wonderfully compact and lightweight design. Superb ease-of-handling assures effortless shooting of fast moving subjects and the super compact IS unit reduces camera shake by up to approximately four full shutter speeds steps*1 – a must at long focal lengths and helpful when focusing and framing. Because the IS unit automatically distinguishes between normal shooting and panning, it ensures appropriate camera shake compensation without the need for manual adjustments. This brings peace of mind in situations containing both static and dynamic activity, as well as when shooting erratically moving subjects such as children and animals.
Featuring a UD lens element to greatly minimize color bleeding, this lens delivers sharp, clean images that exhibit high resolution and superb contrast. Both the lens element array and lens coating are optimized to reduce flare and fhost, problems often associated with digital SLR photography. A minimum shooting distance of approximately 1.1m/3.6 feet applies over the entire zoom range and combines with a circular aperture to produce extraordinary close-ups with beautiful background blurs.
Based on shutter speed of “1/focal length” seconds, said to be the limited for hand-held photography without image stabilization.
Compatible with EOS Digital SLR cameras: EOS 50D, EOS 40D, EOS 30D, EOS 20D, EOS 20Da, EOS Kiss X2/DIGITAL REBEL XSi/450D, EOS Kiss F/DIGITAL REBEL XS/1000D, EOS Kiss Digital X/DIGITAL REBEL XTi/400D DIGITAL, EOS Kiss Digital N/DIGITAL REBEL Xt/350D DIGITAL, EOS Kiss Digital/DIGITAL REBEL/300D DIGITAL (as of August 2008)

Amazing Camera
|
After using point to shoot for long long time I bought this product. Best deal in the market. Amazing clarity, very easy to operate. The additional lens will give help you take long distance shoot. Best part of Canon is it's user friendly features very easy to use. Focus points are very easy to manipulate. only issue with this is a bit low shutter speed and the camera is light weight. Apart from this 2 lens if u want to add more heavy lens then you need a tripod.
Else great buy for entry level DSLR.
